The Challenge
Storytellers are no longer constrained by a single linear narrative for a TV series or movie. This creates the environment for them to tell increasingly complex stories that can be examined from multiple perspectives at different times. This new practice in content creation needs tools to allow storytellers to tell these complex stories and for the viewers to consume them.
Furthermore, the way audiences consume television changed. They no longer must watch together at a specific time, which has moved it away from its previous social aspect as the modern hearth.
Our job was to create an experience that allows:
Creators the ability to tell a story from multiple perspectives or asynchronously, and experiences.
It allows viewers to navigate the story in other ways and view asynchronously with each other.

The Solution
Stories in Motion looks to provide a new tool that allows them to tell and explore storylines and characters paths within a narrative universe. The system also seeks to create the ability for users to enjoy shows with their friends and family from around the world through asynchronous viewing of a show. As television stories grow in complexity, viewers are expected to accompany several character points of view (POV) across proliferating narrative threads. The Stories in Motion app allows viewers to control which character POV he or she wishes to follow. This helps viewers to chart a unique path through a show and experience it from multiple perspectives. Additionally, viewers may annotate episodes with their reactions and insights, then share these paths with fellow viewers. In turn, fellow viewers experience their friends’ personalized traversals.
